On May 14th, HP announced they would acquire EDS for $13.9B (or $25 per share, cash) -- creating a clear #2 in the IT Services market behind IBM Global Services. The announcement created (and is still creating) some ripples within the tech market. Time is the only judge of how this will work out for the soon to be 200K employee services arm of the world's largest technology company.
