This has probably been around for a while, but like most things, it's not real until you actually see it. But Forbes has an online Wiki -- Company Organization Charts -- that allow anyone to view, but you have to register to edit. Now, for years, I've been trying to figure out a good use for wiki technology - the standard "definition" page is ok, but really, it's a fairly boring use of technology. But Org Charts are dynamic and need to be changed alot (I know from the company I work for, there is a constant movement amount the top levels, let alone the basic churn at the bottom).
Forbes' Org Chart Wiki -- http://orgchart.forbes.com/ -- is a great use of a "let anyone an editor" type of application. Check it out - it pretty cool.
